A standalone gas safety inspection starts from approximately $150 to $220 depending on the number of appliances and the complexity of the property. We provide an upfront fixed price when you book. A gas safety check is included at no extra cost with every service we complete.

For owner-occupied homes, a gas safety inspection every 2 years is recommended, or annually if you have older appliances, an older property or any concerns about your gas system. For rental properties, Victorian regulations require a gas appliance service by a licensed gas fitter at least every 2 years.

Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless gas produced by incomplete combustion in gas appliances. It cannot be detected without testing equipment or a CO alarm. Symptoms of exposure include headaches, dizziness, nausea and confusion. High concentrations are fatal. CO testing is included with every service we complete.

Yes. A CO alarm is your passive safety net between services. A gas appliance can develop a CO risk at any time, not just when it is due for a service. A CO alarm provides continuous protection. We recommend a CO alarm in every room containing a gas appliance and near every sleeping area.

The most obvious sign is the smell of gas: a rotten egg or sulphur-like odour. Other signs include a hissing sound near a gas appliance or fitting, dead vegetation above underground gas lines, or unexplained increases in your gas bill. If you suspect a gas leak, turn off your gas at the meter, ventilate the property and call us immediately.

Act immediately. Turn off your gas supply at the meter, open all windows and doors, do not use any light switches, appliances or phones inside the property, evacuate if the smell is strong, and call us immediately from outside on 0468 279 956. Do not re-enter until a licensed gas fitter has cleared the premises.

Yes. Victoria's Residential Tenancies Act requires rental providers to have gas appliances serviced by a licensed gas fitter at least every 2 years and to maintain records of that service. We provide written compliance reports that meet this requirement.
